Chick-fil-a / Big Peach Running Co. Half-Marathon & 5k Duck Dash

Want to be a part of Cartersville's first-ever Half-Marathon?! PLEASE JOIN US for what will amount to one of the most amazing days in NW GA Road Racing history! While this may indeed be the inaugural running of a Half-Marathon in Cartersville, GA, Big Peach Running Co. knows a thing or two about running!...and Chick-Fil-A knows a thing or two about customer satisfaction!
This Half-Marathon/5K tandem promises to deliver a first-class running environment that you and your friends will want to be a part of. The Half-Marathon will be combined with the 17th running of the legendary “Duck Dash 5K,” with proceeds from BOTH races going to benefit Advocates for Children!
2022 Pond and Garden Tour “Art in the Garden”

2022 Pond and Garden Tour “Art in the Garden” Hosted by The Magnolia Garden Club—Cartersville. May 14th, Saturday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Proceeds fund horticulture scholarships, grants, and Junior Garden Club projects at area schools, and many club philanthropies. The Magnolia Garden Club accepts donations as a non-profit organization.

Total Lunar Eclipse at Tellus Science Museum

Make plans to stay up late with us at Tellus and experience a total lunar eclipse! The Museum and Observatory will open at 10 PM as we prepare for the eclipse to begin at 10:27 PM when the Moon begins entering the Earth’s shadow. The Moon will be fully eclipsed for 1 hour and 24 minutes, starting at 11:28 PM. Along with our 20″ telescope, small telescopes will be set up on the Tellus lawn for viewing.
